If you're searching "bikini line wax Miami," you probably have a beach day, a pool party or a trip coming up and you just want a clean edge where your swimsuit sits. Good news: that's one of the quickest things on my menu. Bikini Line Only is $20 and takes about 10 minutes in my private suite on Bird Road. The part people get wrong isn't the wax. It's the timing. Book it too close to the beach and you're stuck choosing between the ocean and your skin, so here's how I'd plan it.
What a Bikini Line Wax in Miami Actually Covers
Bikini Line Only cleans up the visible line, meaning anything that would peek out of your swimwear or underwear. It doesn't go further in than that. If you want more, the Full Front Bikini ($50) takes the whole front, and the Brazilian ($60) covers everything front to back. If you're still deciding between those, I wrote a full breakdown of the three bikini options, so this post sticks to getting the timing right.
I use hard wax from Italwax and Waxness for every bikini service. It grips the hair rather than the skin, which is a big reason the sting is quick and the redness settles fast. For a small area like the bikini line, you're in and out before you've really settled into the chair.
How Far Ahead to Book Before a Beach Day
Here's the rule I'd plan around: give yourself at least a full day between your wax and the water. Pools, the ocean and lakes can irritate freshly waxed follicles, so I ask clients to stay out for at least 24 hours. I know that's tough in Miami where the beach is calling every weekend, but your skin will thank you.
In practice, two or three days before the trip is the sweet spot. Your skin has calmed down, you're still smooth, and you're not rushing. A few things to work backwards from:
- Booking takes a little lead time. Online bookings are requests that I review and approve within 48 hours, so don't wait until the night before your flight to book. If your time is taken, join the waitlist while you're booking and you'll get a text when a spot opens.
- Hair needs some length. Let it grow to about a quarter inch, roughly a grain of rice, and skip shaving for 2 to 3 weeks before so the wax has something to grab.
- Skip the sun right before. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds and retinol on the area for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Sunburned or freshly tanned skin is far more sensitive.
- Exfoliate gently a day or two ahead. It helps the wax work cleanly. Just don't scrub the day of.
If something changes, I ask for at least 18 hours notice to cancel or move your appointment, so it's worth booking once your plans are fairly set.
Adding Underarms or Inner Thighs to the Same Visit
Since you're already in the suite, a lot of beach-trip clients stack a couple of quick areas onto the bikini line. The common ones:
- Underarm Wax for $20, about 15 minutes
- Inner Thighs for $12, about 10 minutes, for a smoother finish around the bikini area
- Upper Lip for $8, about 10 minutes, if you want your face done too
You can browse every area and price on the waxing menu. If you've also been meaning to book a Brazilian wax and vajacial combo in Miami, the Brazilian + Vajacial is $100 and runs about 80 minutes, which is a nice way to get the hair and the skin care done in one trip before vacation. And if your brows need attention before you get on a plane, an upper lip pairs easily with a brow appointment.
After Your Wax: Keeping Skin Happy in the Heat
The first 24 hours are the ones that matter most. Skip hot baths, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs, and take a day off from the gym, since sweat and friction aren't friendly to freshly waxed skin. Wear loose cotton underwear and relaxed-fit clothes for the rest of the day. Tight shorts in Miami humidity are not the move.
Once you're past that first day, you're free to hit the water. Starting 3 to 4 days after your wax, gently exfoliate the area 2 to 3 times a week with a soft scrub or an exfoliating mitt in the shower. That routine keeps the bikini line looking neat for longer and helps keep bumps down between visits.
If you're in Westchester, Bird Road, Sweetwater or Kendall and you've got a beach weekend coming up, take a look at the full services menu and plan your wax a few days out. When you're ready, you can book online through GlossGenius, and I'll see you in the suite at With Love, Beauty.
